Jerry Ray moves to the nation’s oldest city from Jacksonville. The Computer Doctors begins life as a local computer shop, Computer Discount Center, with Jerry Ray and Peter Claflin starting as partners in April 1991.
Jerry bought out Peter’s interest in the firm and became the sole owner.
We hired our first full-time employee, Larry Squire as our store manager. The company grew greatly under his hand, and Jerry and Larry eventually became business partners.
We began a full-service computer repair center, The Computer Doctors, which became the name of our company.
The Computer Doctors began the process of becoming a full-fledged Managed Service Provider (MSP), providing IT and cloud services to a wide variety of organizations. The service team at The Computer Doctors made it through to the final of the Service Desk Industry (SDI) Best Small Managed Service Desk Provider (MSP) awards. We won the Best of St. Augustine awards sponsored by the St. Augustine Record for 12 years in a row. We are incredibly proud of the external recognition for our team, who have completed extensive training and have worked incredibly hard over an extended period to ensure we consistently meet the needs of our customers.
