Minimum Standards for a Managed Seat

This document outlines the baseline prerequisites for each managed workstation or user seat under your “Tin”, “Bronze”, “Silver”, “Gold”, or “Platinum” Service Agreement. Each managed seat or user must have these Minimum Standards met to qualify under your Agreement for service requests. All systems must comply with these Minimum Standards within one month of your Agreement start date (or of a seat being added).

Hardware & Performance

  • Business-grade device (laptop or desktop) with:
    • Minimum Intel i5/Ryzen 5 processor
    • 16 GB RAM (8 GB for light-duty roles)
    • 256 GB SSD or larger
  • Webcam and microphone for remote support and meetings
  • Dual monitors available for productivity roles
  • Operating System: current Windows version in the Professional or Enterprise edition, or macOS

The Required “Stack” (Class I Software)

Every seat must run our required stack. Class I software is purchased through our preferred Cloud Service Provider, DigitalUmbrella by RegistryCloud. Under “Tin” and “Bronze” agreements the stack is purchased separately; under “Silver”, “Gold”, and “Platinum” agreements the stack is included in your Agreement Fee and We purchase it on your behalf.

Patch management and software updates are handled automatically through NinjaOne. Where your productivity suite includes Microsoft Intune (Microsoft 365 E3), We also use Intune for endpoint management.

Security & Compliance

  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enforced on all accounts
  • Disk encryption enabled (BitLocker/FileVault) on critical systems
  • Regular vulnerability scans and remediation
  • Compliance alignment with applicable standards (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)

User Experience & Support

  • Onboarding package includes:
    • Welcome email with credentials and setup instructions
    • Access to shared drives, ticketing system, and communication tools
  • Helpdesk access via portal, phone, or text (ticket/email only under “Tin”)
  • Response times by service level as published at https://summitridge.tech/pricing and in your Service Agreement
  • Quarterly health checks and performance reviews

Documentation & Asset Management

  • Asset tagging and inventory tracking
  • Seat profile documentation including:
    • Assigned user
    • Device specs
    • Installed software
    • Access permissions
