// Rates
No surprises.
No exceptions.
Residential and commercial rates, published openly, because you should know what something costs before you agree to it. Law 3 — never surprise anyone.
// Residential & walk-in
Home & residential service
One rate for all residential work, billed by the hour. Screen replacements, hardware repairs, and diagnostics are quoted per job before we start — you will always know the number before we pick up a screwdriver.
// If you operate a business from home, commercial rates apply regardless of location. When in doubt, tell us what the computer is used for and we will tell you which rate applies.

- Computer tune-up & cleanup
- Software installation & setup
- Printer & peripheral setup

// In-shop repair
Bring it in.
In-shop repairs are not billed by the hour — they are quoted by the job. We diagnose the device, tell you what it will cost, and you decide whether to proceed. No work starts until you approve the number.
Laptops and desktops — Windows and Mac. Common repairs include screen replacements, keyboard and power jack repairs, battery replacements, data recovery, and hardware upgrades. Some jobs are quick. Some require parts. We will tell you which before you leave the counter.
Diagnostic fee
$45 Windows
$85 Mac
Waived if we do the repair.

// Sample repair rates
These are typical ranges. Final price depends on parts availability and what we find once we are inside. Mac repairs run approximately double Windows — parts cost more and the work takes longer. Nothing starts until you approve the number. We service laptops and desktops only — we do not repair tablets or phones.
// Customers are responsible for their own data. We strongly recommend backing up your device before any service. Repairs do not guarantee the safety of existing data. If data preservation is required, ask about our Data Transfer or Wipe & Reload with data options.
// When in doubt, bring the power cord.

All commercial work is billed in full-hour increments. If the job runs 1.5 hours, you are billed for 2 — and we stay for 2.On-site travel within St. Johns County is included. Beyond that, travel is billed at $75/hr — and we will always tell you before we come.If the work turns out to belong in a lower tier, you are billed at the lower tier.
// Managed service
Or stop paying by the hour.
Hourly rates make sense when things break occasionally. If they break often, a managed agreement costs less and we start preventing problems rather than billing you for them. We will run the numbers honestly — if hourly is cheaper for you, we will say so.
Ask about managed serviceAsk The Doc.
Describe what it is doing and he will tell you what is probably wrong — and whether it is worth fixing. He is blunt, he is thorough, and he has never once been wrong about a capacitor. Or ask anything about us you would like to know.
Not sure which rate applies?
Describe the work. We will tell you which tier it falls under before you commit to anything.
